SEO is one of the most important channels when it comes to B2B digital marketing. It’s free, anyone can do it, and when done right, it will bring you more leads than any of your paid channels.

No B2B company should run into SEO headfirst, without a plan. If they do, they’ll probably get nowhere. So developing a strategy is the right place to start on your SEO journey.
Developing an SEO strategy may seem hard but when it’s broken down, it can be done.
Start by identifying the keywords you want to rank for, then develop blog post topics based off these keywords and start writing.
While this isn’t a full strategy, and there’s a lot more components, it’s the absolute basic that I think anyone can do.
Content, content,content! When it doubt, write content.
When it comes to SEO, content is the one thing that you should be focusing on. Search engines use it when deciding where to rank your website. They look at quality, authority and if the content is well reaserched.
Search engines, still can’t read a video or audio, so your content needs to be written. Here’s so quick tips:
- Write content that is at least 1,000 words. 2,000 is ideal.
- Include engaging headings.

SEO is not set-and-forget. You can’t do it for a couple of days then stop and expect anything to happen. Generally, it can take 3 months to see results and up to 18 months to get a ROI.
But don’t let that turn you off! The ROI on SEO is unlimited. In fact, if you do it well enough and for a long time, it will generate more leads than any of your paid digital marketing channels.
Remember, write fresh content, consistently and that SEO is a long-term game.
